Dear Nicola,

On behalf of Farleigh Hospice, I would like to extend our gratitude to everyone at Maldon Fields Crematorium for your generous donation of £5,000, which we recently received.

Thank you also for inviting me to attend your Christmas Memorial Service. Having attended several events at Maldon Fields, I have seen firsthand the care, respect, and thoughtfulness that go into everything you do. Your new facilities create a significant and comforting space for families to say goodbye to their loved ones, and it is clear how much this means to the community you serve.

At Farleigh Hospice, we have been providing care and support to people affected by life-limiting illnesses and bereavement across our local community for over 42 years. We support individuals with a wide range of conditions - including lung disease, neurological conditions, heart failure, and cancer - and we help people to live well and die well by providing both physical and emotional care. Acts of kindness like yours make this possible.

It costs more than £21,271 every day to provide our services across mid Essex. Although we receive some funding from the NHS, we still rely heavily on the generosity of our community to ensure our care remains completely free for all who need it. Your support helps us secure the future of this vital work for the next 42 years and beyond.

Your contribution at this time is deeply appreciated. It is because you care that we can continue to be here for everyone who needs us. Thank you once again for your kindness and support.

Yours sincerely
