Our Team

David

Our General manager, David is an ICCM member and has over 16 years of experience in bereavement and has been involved in the opening of over 20 crematoria and was key in helping to set up Maldon Fields.

David gained his experience in various cemeteries and crematoria in London and Essex and now leads our operations, he is especially skilled in cremation practice, working with Steve and Zoe to ensure that every loved one is looked after in the most sensitive way.

Away from work he is a keen scuba diver and underwater photographer, he also enjoys land photography and has a interest in vintage computers and IT systems, he has a fondness for Concorde and early British Jet aircraft.

Nicola

Nicola is our Chapel Manager and has worked in the funeral industry for the past eight and a half years. She has experience both as a Funeral Director and arranging funerals so knows the difference that high standards make. Nicola plays a vital role in leading the chapel team, ensuring services are carried out with dignity, care, and attention to detail. She is compassionate, calm, and deeply empathetic, offering understanding and support to families at a time when it is needed most.

Nicola also manages our special events during the year and leads our Christmas service.

Born in Essex, and living in Heybridge Basin , Nicola enjoys spending time with her family, singing and making a fuss over her two much-loved sausage dogs Boris and Mabel.

Perry

Perry supports families with gentle guidance and compassion in her role as a Bereavement and Memorial Sales Assistant, helping to create personal and meaningful tributes that honour the lives of loved ones. With wide experience across cemeteries and crematoria, funeral directors, and the registrar service, she offers respect, and understanding during what can be a difficult time.

Outside of work, Perry is the mother of an exuberant 7 year old and she enjoys spending time with family and friends and making space to relax and unwind. Having relocated to Essex in 2017, she still frequently escapes to Devon, a place she continues to feel closely connected to.

Steve

Steve is a cremation technician and as well as his indoor duties, he is often seen out in the grounds preparing for interments and setting out memorials. He has 6 years knowledge of working in crematoria and understands all aspects of how the funeral service needs to be provided.

Prior to joining the funeral sector, Steve spent 30 years travelling around the world as a Flight Engineer for several airlines. He has a passion for Southend Utd and West Ham Utd and enjoys moto GP and Formula One.

Zoë

Zoë is a Crematorium Assistant and has served in crematoria in Essex for over eight years. She is deeply passionate about her job and doing the best for families during difficult times, often wearing her heart on her sleeve. Known for her empathy and dedication, she takes great pride in supporting others with professionalism and understanding.

Outside of work, Zoë is a proud mum to two boys and a devoted dog Mum too . Interesting fact, she has a lifelong love for Alice in Wonderland!

Dawn

Dawn is our office guru, with over 21 years experience of crematoria administration and prior to that over 10 years service with a funeral director. Her eye for detail is ideally suited for ensuring everything is correct for the day. Outside of work, she is an animal lover and enjoys holidays, eating out and tropical scuba diving alongside her husband.
